Brook Trout and Mayflies with Heading for Eugene Macri

About Me
Fly Fisherman
From a very young age I belonged to fly fishing clubs. Great people, great times and great fishermen. These
include the Green Drake Gang on Penns Creek to one of the most illustrious groups on the planet: The Letort
Regulars with the likes of Charlie Fox, Lefty Kreh, Ed Shank, Gene Utech, Jack Hunter, Ned Smith (wild life artist), Tommy Thomas
and many others.

The comraderie amongst fly anglers is like no other group in society. I was a youngster when I met them and grew up with
them. Most of them are gone now and I miss them dearly. I need to write a book on them too because there is nothing in
fly fishing world today that can match them. This was the Golden Age of Fly Fishing.
March Brown
Scientist
I've been turning over rocks in streams since I was kid. I wanted to know what was under them and what they meant.

My friends and I explored nature. I started fly fishing when I was nine. It kept us out of trouble. There was always a number of
places to explore. As I grew up we were communicating with scientists at universities when we were in junior high school.

I had great parents and a great nuclear family that encouraged me and my friends. A small town where everyone knew everyone. We encapsulated in
community that respected nature and we joined fly fishing clubs with men that had a great ethos for the environment and a moral stand.

We weren't old enough to drive so the guys would come and pick up us for the meetings. We packed our bags and walked miles to the stream.
It was a wonderful time to be a kid.

These experiences propelled me to become a scientist. I've studied just about everything including aquatic and environmental science, microbiology, phycology, parasitology,
water chemistry, geology, botany, fishery biology and many related disciplines.
Stream Survey
River Keeper
For over 25 years I've been managing streams and lakes. Like the great River Keepers of the English
Chalkstreams such as Frank Sawyer you learn to see. Observing what's going both in and out the water
is the secret to understanding ecosystems.

Streams, rivers, and lakes are not static. They change daily and in some instances hourly. What I've learned
has given me an insight into how the biogeochemical pathways really work and how they affect the living organisms. Perhaps I'll write a book on it.

If you are interested in my talents and you have water that you wish to get the best
productivity from please feel free to contact me.
