Fly Fishing: Guiding and Instruction with Gene Macri
I do a limited amount of guiding and instruction in fly fishing between my time doing research and
fishing. I can instruct or guide you on my private water as shown above or limestone spring creek fly fishing in the immediate area which includes Big Spring Creek, Yellow Breeches Creek, Falling Spring Run, and Letort Spring Run and Yellow Creek. You must have some basic experience in fly
fishing for me to instruct you. These streams are not easy to fish. You will just get
frustrated and it may ruin your day as well as turn you off to fly fishing.
Above is a massive brown I caught and released on the Conewago. I don't ever promise you that
you'll catch and land a fish like that. I'll teach you exactly how you should fish the stream. The rest is up
to you and the "Fish Gods." I'll furnish all equipment if you need it except boots, glasses and a fishing
license. I include an absolutely great lunch too!
The Limestone Streams and the Conewago are open all year. However, since the Conewago is a
freestone stream and is subject to the "Rain Gods" we carefully monitor temperature regime and water volume and
will close the stream to all fishing if we feel the trout are in danger. We do not over stress the fish.
If you are interested just contact me and put the title Fly
Fishing Guiding and Instruction in your email.
